Independence Day 2014 Drawing and Colouring Competition

Submitted by Green Butterfly Group

Green Butterfly Edu was found in the summer of 2012, with the setting up of a Children’s Art & Craft Workshop in Trivandrum. The idea was to create a fun place with activities that kept children coming back for more and so, spread the love for creativity. Children come for various reasons – the cheerful ambience, friendly teachers, fun activities on weekends, team work and excursions including Adventure, Science, Cooking, Nature, Theatre and more…

Green Butterfly’s programs help in development of creativity among children right from their tender age. Art and Craft programs, colouring/drawing/painting programs provide children the opportunity to be creative and to gain self confidence.

Green Butterfly Edu has successfully conducted summer camps, craft programs, contests in schools in Thiruvananthapuram. Green Butterfly has published few Art n Crafts books for kids in KG and Primary levels.

We are organizing a Drawing & Colouring during Independence Day to commemorate the 67th Independence Day and to create awareness about history behind Independence and the need to aim at future development of India. The primary idea is to give a child an opportunity to participate, exhibit their creative skill, develop an idea and to improve their confidence levels. The first event is planned for Independence Day on 15th August at the Museum Ground, Thiruvananthapuram.

These competitions are evaluated by Senior Teachers & Artists and prizes are announced. Each and every child is also given a Certificate as a token of participation. A nominal registration fee is charged per kid for participating in these competition.
