Child Safety Workshop – at Schoolkutti.com Children’s Library
Child sexual abuse is a complex, multidimensional and widespread problem all over the world. Schoolkutti.com presents a personal safety program for children aged 7 to 12, with a focus on preventing child sexual abuse. Through positive, non-threatening, simple key messages and stories, we introduce young children to the concepts of:
- Children’s rights
- Safe and supportive friendships
- Adults’ responsibility to protect children from harm
- Privacy, Safe and unsafe touching
- Simple and effective Personal Safety Rules
Our workshop aims to provide children with the knowledge and skills to:
- Recognize sexual abuse and dangerous situations that may lead to sexual abuse
- Understand body ownership and rights – “my body is mine”
- Be able to say “No” when required
- Run and tell a trusted adult if something is inappropriate
- Keep telling until someone provides help
