Even though Kerala is one of the highest literate states in India, there has been much reluctance among youth of this state to compete in national level exams like Civil Services Exams.

This is due to a combination of misguidance and wrong concepts about these types of examinations. Lack of confidence, fear and ignorance about these exams are other reasons for this general hesitation to compete.
